Embracing our Extended Family

How members of the community, friends (old and new), colleagues and our neighbors have played a huge part in finding happiness this year.

  • When family from far away couldn't visit, we noticed extra smiles from our neighbors.

  • When our regular date nights and dinners out came to a stope, we changed our gatherings to socially distanced outside BBQs and Zoom gatherings.

  • We sent funny GIFs and resent old pictures to those we shared experiences with before we stayed home.

  • We hugged our loved ones at home a little tighter in appreciation of the extra time that we've spend with them at home.

  • We said thank you and please more than we ever have in the past and showed a greater appreciation for the little things.

Reconnecting to your Inner Child

Do you remember your hopes and dreams from your childhood. Are you living your best life with a glimpse of these child-like aspirations? Here are some questions that can reconnect you today with your inner child.

1. What character are you in a favorite childhood movie or show? Are you the main character?

2. What would you invent? Would it solve a problem in the world?

3. What would you spend $100 or $1000 on?

4. If you could go anywhere for a week, where would you go? What would you do?

These questions can be great conversations to have with your children, inspire them to dream big!
